Baby B is currently in the middle of a rather interesting obsession with Roosters. The interest in our feathered friends came about through a love for all things farm and animals. After our 100th trip to the farm, B seemed to decide that the Rooster was for him, number one animal. Although he does also have a penchant for Peacocks.
He will sit and watch videos of Roosters on YouTube, insists that his toy Rooster is waiting for him in the car when we pick him up from nursery and demands at least a weekly visit to a farm so he can stand and look at some in the flesh.
It got me thinking about B’s previous obsessions. It is pretty crazy how at such a young age interests change so much and how something is flavour of the month one month and next month he shows no interest whatsoever.
Previous obsessions have included traffic lights, obviously Peppa Pig (which he is so over now), I am a shape (from Mister Maker which I am pretty sure we have watched 100,000 times) and last but not least hats (he used to insist on choosing which ones to wear now is doesn’t mind what I plonk on his head).
It is a learning curve not to go all out buying obsession related merchandise too! That life sized traffic light we have flashing away in the garden really was a waste of money. 🙂
So at present it is Roosters, so off to the farm we go. B has just informed me that Rooster is waiting for him! Goodness knows where we will be going next month!
