Obsessions of a two year old – ‘The circle of friends’

At 25 months Baby B appears to have developed an appreciation for soft toys. He has called his collection of cuddly toys ‘his friends’ and is becoming increasing demanding that ‘his friends’ come with us, where ever we go. I don’t have a problem with this except that at present ‘his friends’ consist of;

3 x doggies,

1 x puppy;

1 x crocodile,

1 x roaster;

1 x cow;

1 x monkey;

1 x rabbit;

and finally, the most recent addition, a peacock.

The newest recruit

You try finding a handbag that can squeeze that lot in.

Those who read the post ‘Obsessions of a two year old’ Will know that Baby B is currently obsessed with Roosters. This has now expanded to now include Peacocks. Yup he loves those feathery blighters! So much so that the stuffed Peacock above (which Daddy A found on EBay) has now joined the circle of friends.

The circle of friends are tight. Not even I, Mumma, can infiltrate this group.

Daddy was smiling all day on Friday when he asked B to sit in the usual place and put his shoes on for nursery whilst Daddy sorted out the car. He returned to find all of the friends piled up by the front door.

Which resulted in one big road trip………

'Friends' are ready Daddy

Road trip with the 'friends'!

Getting him to leave his friends behind when he got to nursery is a whole different story!

Moral of the post is, never underestimate the love of a two year and his soft toy collection.

    Oh that is just beautiful! Look at his little face with his gang arranged around the car seat! My almost three year old always has to bring something along on our trips out. I like it when Doll comes along in her buggy, as that keeps him occupied on shopping trips, but sometimes his choices are less appropriate, like taking numbers made out of playdough to the park.

      Ha ha that is hilarious. Bless him! If it keeps them occupied let them bring it I say. Though trying to wrestle them from his hands at nursery doesn’t always end well! Thank you so much for your comment Judith xx
