Whilst I do love and appreciate nice clothes, I am not a big shopper, nor do I have a ‘style’. Well actually I do have a style but a rather plain, and at times, frumpy one. Becoming a mum hasn’t helped with my lack of style, more then ever now I dress practically and for comfort. Oh and anything which hides my stomach!
I spend my life looking enviously at other women dressed in on trend figure flattering clothes and wonder when my inner style goddess will make an appearance.
Typically, I think my style goddess may have signalled her appearance in Ibiza, from where I have just returned. A place from where clothes just aren’t what one wears on a typical nursery drop off day in rainy England.
I loved the chilled, hippy Ibiza style. Hippy being the main word. Having attended a ‘Flower Power’ night at Pacha one evening, we then visited the famous ‘Hippy Market’ the next day.
Had my famous sensible side not reared her ever present head, I would have returned from Ibiza with numerous flower headbands and multiple floaty mini dresses. Great on a sun kissed island in the med, not so great in a nipple biting winter in Surrey.
So I met my sensible side in the middle and due to only having hand luggage so not being able to fit anything else in, I brought the following three items which I love!
Funky shorts – It’s time to bare the thighs!
Gorgeous leather handbag – Over the body strap I think is a necessity for parents out with children
Baggy pants – Nothing else to say, I just love to comfortable! 🙂
What do you reckon ladies? Winning purchases?
I love everything you got, especially the shorts! That market sounds like my kind of place. Glad you had a nice time x
Lovely purchases although personally I think at least one flower headband should have made it back! 🙂
