As a dedicated iPad user and someone who rarely leaves the house without it, I was extremely happy to be able to review an iPad case from Beatrix New York currently for sale at John Lewis stores and online in the UK. Beatrix is a New York City based company devoted to creating cool, contemporary stuff for kids. This really was a pleasure.
We were sent two iPad cases by lovely Uk company Everdell for the purpose of this review. Why two you ask? Well, because 28 month old Baby B, is equally dedicated to his iPad, my old work one! Just to caveat that I am not a mother who fobs her son off with the iPad. It is stocked up with his favourite shows, loads of useful educational apps and fun games. It keeps him entertained when other things won’t and frankly, it is a life saver on a long car journey or in a restuarant!
So what did we think?
The Beatrix iPad cases are luxurious. Plush, sturdy, bright, fun and most of all, unique.
Genuinely they are just lovely. As I learnt from the official description, they are also “water-resistent, padded, and velvet-lined for kid-proof protection. PVC free, Phthalate free, BPA free, and lead free“.
If you ask me, the cases pretty much tick all the boxes for what one could ever want from an iPad case and more. Each character in the Beatrix range has a name, so allow me to introduce you to Percival the dinosaur above and the Juju, the Lady Bug below.
As I like to do where possible, I ask Baby B for this opinion on the product we are reviewing. This is what he had to say:
The cases are £29.95 each and sold at John Lewis which should be your port of call, if like us, you are won over by the lovely design and quality of the products.
They are a treat but worth every penny. Oh, and are developing quite a celebrity following. If they are good enough for the Beckhams I reckon they are good enough for us!
*We were provided the iPad cases for the purpose of this review.
They are so cool. I love the zips on the. Think z would love the dinosaur one
Great review. I think you are a great author and narrator. After reading your Article, I’m planning to buy iPad case, off-course not for my 28 month old Baby 🙂
Thanks!
I love the part where he announces it’s an iPad! So cute! Zhen is fascinated with our touch screen phones. I foresee a technological toy in her near future!
