Up All Hours has only made the finals of the BiB’s!

This my friends, is extremely exciting news.

As I sat yesterday stressing about the slowness of the Up All Hours website, word came in, via Twitter that the blog, this blog, had made the final 6 in the family category of the Brilliance in Blogging Awards.

My ever supportive husband stated that this is essentially the Oscars of the blogging world and reached for the bottle of Bollinger *coughs – sparkling wine!*

In all seriousness, this really is fantastic and a great honour. I attended Britmums last year and sat through the BiB’s awards ceremony that evening, rather in awe of the bloggers nominated for the awards.

At that stage I had been blogging only 7 months and was finding the whole thing a tad daunting. Whilst I still wish that I was funnier, I have definitely found my feet and enjoy sharing (overly so at times) the everyday experience of living with an over excited toddler.

A year later and I am one of those finalists! It feels like a real achievement and I hope is an example to any new bloggers out there that it just takes a little time to find your feet and get going!

So, a big thank you to all who voted, thank you to Britmums and finally, thank you to our toddler for the daily grind that is my inspiration!
