Last Minute Fathers Day Idea

We have left it late to come up with a Fathers Day gift for Daddy A, and by late I mean it’s 8am on Fathers Day, and there is not a present in the house. It has been a long busy week and to be honest I just overlooked today. My hubby is great and I know he will completely understand but I do feel like I have failed somewhat!

So having spent the morning wandered round the house looking for something to wrap up, attempting to pen a sentimental Fathers Day poem and even considered writing a song, we decided that less is in fact more!

As luck would have it, whilst looking for something to gift my darling husband on this, his, special day, I found a card that our son had made at nursery this week. Brilliant. I have been saved. It is also fantastically simple and to the point. You have to love Toddler honesty.

Next I turned to the internet and came across this great website Hand Made Mood and this great idea, A Fathers Printable. Basically a one pager that you can fill in with your little ones about their Daddy. It is simple, sweet and something that they really will want to keep forever. My little lad can’t write yet so I did the writing for him but he was more then happy to tell me what he loved about his Dad and what Dad is good at. Answers here included ‘digging’ and ‘having a party’.
